My husband & I are renewing our vows in a backyard small ceremony after a rough road. I bought a simple sundress, but it is white. I am now reading this is not appropriate.

Can I wear a white dress for a vow renewal ceremony even if it is a simple non-wedding dress style?

Thanks

Dear Wants to Wear White,

Sure you can wear white. White represents celebration. You are fine.

Congratulations!

Yes, white no longer is thought to represent virginity; it symbolizes joy. So, a white dress for a vow renewal ceremony is perfect so long as it doesn't appear to be a wedding dress.
