My husband and I are contemplating renewing our wedding vows a few months after he gets back from his deployment to Iraq. The date we would like to have it is our second wedding anniversary. I know this is very soon after our original wedding, but for anyone out there who's in the military, they know that a lot of first weddings are with the JP. This is something we have wanted to do since we got married and the timing would be good to celebrate not only our marriage but also John making it home safely. Does this sound like a good idea, or is it too soon?
Thank you for your time,
Jessica

Renewing vows for second wedding anniversary
#2
It used to be that couples waited until the 10th, 20th 25th wedding anniversary to renew their wedding vows. However, as you mentioned, may military couples are being rushed to marry because of deployment to war, so it has become more and more acceptable for couples to be renewing their wedding vows earlier in the marriage. Go ahead and plan your beautiful vow renewal ceremony to welcome your husband back home.
