length of time to wait for an annulment

Im 33 years old and have waited a lifetime for someone to ask me to marry them. I met the man of my dreams and he asked me to marry him. We started the annulment process in Feb since he was previously married and still waiting to hear something. It makes me very angry and depressed because I can't do anything....can't even set a date because we have to wait. This should be one of the happiest times of my life and right now its not. I was raised Catholic and would love to get married in a Catholic Church but the waiting is awful. I have to put my life on hold because of this annulment process. I want to have children someday soon but by the time I get married I probably wont be able to have kids.....its not fair......

The annulment process can be a long process and I understand your frustration. If you do not want to wait one option could be to find Independent Catholic clergy in your area to officiate the wedding. If it is important to you that the marriage be in accordance with Roman Catholic Cannon law you can, after the fact, once the annulment comes in (and they almost always do) you could file for a dispensation for absence of form (as the wedding was not conducted in accordance with cannon law) or have a private ceremony with Roman Catholic Clergy officiating.
