Wearing a formal wedding dress for second marriage
#1
So I am getting married for the second time but this is my first wedding. I got married at the court house last time and I wore my mothers very informal (3rd) wedding dress. I know that this is the last time I will EVER do this again and I have this need to wear a "big", beautiful, traditional wedding dress. Although I am not sure if I should. Though I feel a sense of lost not ever having a "real" wedding before, I am not sure if I should wear a formal dress or not!! Please help me!

You sound so sure of yourself and your choice, I say go for it. However, what to wear is typically a very personal choice, one you should make for yourself. If you're asking if wearing a formal wedding gown for a second wedding is appropriate, the answer is a resounding YES, as long as your wedding matches the gown in style. What I mean by that is, if you're wearing a formal gown the wedding should also be formal (governed by time and location mostly).
Just for the record, a wedding is what you had the first time, though it just wasn't the kind wedding you wanted (the big white kind)! You had a wedding because the outcome was that you were married.
Enjoy!
